Conditions
- Outside large plain protection areas, on absolute, special crop, perennial (planted) and irrigated land, the Ministry grants permission provided there is no alternative site, the Board approves and the soil conservation project is followed (this power can be delegated to the governor's office).
Permit route
- This is a non-agricultural use: the Ministry (or the governor's office, where authority has been delegated) grants permission provided there is no alternative site and the Soil Conservation Board gives a favourable opinion.
- In a large plain protection area, non-agricultural use is only permitted for activities covered by a public interest decision.
Zoning rules
- As a non-agricultural use, it is subject to the zoning plan and zoning legislation.
