Shelter for stray animals

In short: A shelter for stray animals may only be built on marginal land outside large plain protection areas, in a removable form; its area is set by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
The regulation names this structure but sets no area or capacity limits; the provincial directorate of agriculture and forestry assesses how much area is needed based on the project.
Conditions
- It may only be built outside large plain protection areas and on marginal agricultural land.
- It must be removable and able to be put up again, without excavation, fill or concrete.
Permit route
- Outside a large plain protection area: the provincial directorate of agriculture and forestry reviews the application and the governor's office grants permission; the land class does not matter, no alternative site is required and the Soil Conservation Board is not involved.
- Not allowed in a large plain protection area.
Zoning rules
- In areas without a zoning plan: FAR 0.4 for all buildings on the parcel, height 7.5 m and 2 storeys; setbacks of 10 m from the road and 5 m from the parcel boundary (Zoning Regulation for Unplanned Areas, art. 63).
- It is assumed that this structure will be treated as one of the farm structures listed in that article.
